Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of abilities and the assistive technologies they use.
What we’ve built in
Measures included in this site to support accessibility:
- Semantic, structured HTML with clear headings and landmarks.
- A “skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Keyboard support for navigation, menus and forms, with visible focus styles.
- Labelled form fields with clear required-field and error indicators.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting — animations are minimized when you ask your device to.
- Light and dark themes with attention to color contrast for readable text.
- Responsive layouts that adapt to zoom and different screen sizes.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
Known limitations
We’re honest about where we are. Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible — for example, certain third-party embedded content, or newer features still being refined. We treat any issue we find or that’s reported to us as something to fix, and we review accessibility as the site evolves.
